@sephster @fideloper I'd be fine with a tenner for that. :P

@sephster @JoshWComeau Unpopular opinion: I can't see any real advantage of React. When its popularity inevitably wanes, all we'll have is over-engineered nightmares to move back to vanilla JS.

@CARROT_app @0x_flea @MKBHD Paying the annual premium sub is one of the few subscriptions I don't begrudge at all. Worth every penny for such a brilliant app, and it's full of other fun things beyond just giving you the weather.

@EVRi_Delivery @LinusTech I'm not sure it's LTT's fault, likely the North American courier passed it to a delivery partner for international delivery, and it happened to be EVRi. Hopefully they can take it on board though and maybe find a way to force a different courier.

Dec 15, 2022

@sephster I'd be surprised if it's a mistake. I wonder if the couriers are penalised for "late" deliveries, so they mark items as delivered and just discard them without personal consequence. Or maybe it's just theft.

Dec 15, 2022

@karenhowie2008 They're honestly shocking. Glad you managed to receive your item in the end!

Dec 15, 2022

Heart sank when I saw #EVRi were delivering my @LinusTech Store order. Says delivered but not anywhere on my property, and “proof” isn’t any help. How this “delivery” company is still allowed to operate is beyond me. @EVRi_Delivery https://t.co/iAfMIHV818

@sephster What flavour though?

@ormanclark "We'll fix it later."

Nov 29, 2022

@steven_aquino I can't really tell the difference between 60 and 120. Can tell 30 and 60 apart, but beyond that it's all the same. Latency is what gets me though, VR headsets make me really sick after just a few minutes.

I've received two text messages like this in the last 24 hours, and taking a peek at the websites, they're extremely convincing. People are going to fall for this. How can you help? Quick thread:🧵👇 https://t.co/SP4zkXwqI6

This is honestly one of the most frustrating things about macOS. The moment I reboot then log in, I get a load of permission requests. Every. Damn. Time. https://t.co/7tnzSdyHTA

@gilbitron This is why I'll not let go of PHP just yet.

@baldcyclist connection speed out of connected devices (assuming solid Xbox Live CDN speed). My network is a bit weird though, I use a PiHole for DHCP and ad-blocking so that introduces another hop. Ping still generally good at 16ms on wifi. 2/2

Apr 18, 2022

@baldcyclist Ah, if you're going through powerline you'll likely be losing packets. It's a nightmarish protocol, if you run something like Wireshark it will show you all of the errors. I have a 900mbps connection and I'll only get about 300-350 over wifi. Xbox actually has fastest 1/2

Apr 18, 2022

@baldcyclist Unless you have a busy network, achieving gigabit speeds on home hardware is pretty normal. "Real world" powerline is a packet loss nightmare, and factors after PoP makes the biggest impacts to your top speed.
